Indonesia Officially Becomes Official Partner Country of INNOPROM 2026, Strengthening Strategic Industrial Partnerships with Russia and the Eurasian Region

Indonesia has officially been named Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026, the largest international industrial exhibition in the Eurasian region, which will take place on 6–9 July 2026 in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Supported by 50 national industry delegates, this participation is a concrete step by Indonesia to strengthen industrial partnerships between Indonesia, Russia and the countries of the Eurasian region, while opening opportunities for investment, manufacturing cooperation and export market expansion for national industrial products.

“Relations between Indonesia and Russia in industry have a strong foundation. What we are doing now is ensuring that foundation develops into a concrete and sustainable partnership. INNOPROM 2026 is an important opportunity to bring industry players from both countries together directly, increase investment and open cooperation opportunities that bring real benefits to both sides,” Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said in a statement in Jakarta on Monday (22/6).

As Official Partner Country, Indonesia will present a national pavilion of more than 1,500 square meters, making it one of the largest pavilions at INNOPROM 2026. Under the theme “Navigating Industrial Futures”, the Indonesian pavilion will showcase five leading sectors: agro-industry and food processing, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, specialty manufacturing and consumer goods, advanced manufacturing and engineering, and industrial estates and investment. The pavilion will host business matching, bilateral business forums and high-level meetings between ministerial-level delegations from both countries.

Indonesia's participation in INNOPROM 2026 is supported by increasingly strong economic relations between Indonesia and Russia. In 2025, bilateral trade between the two countries reached USD 1,876,370 thousand, while realized Russian investment in Indonesia was recorded at USD 262.8 million.

Bilateral relations between Indonesia and Russia have also shown positive developments in recent years. After the meeting between President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on 10 December 2025, which produced various strategic understandings in economy and industry, the two leaders met again at the Kremlin in Moscow in April 2026 to strengthen cooperation in energy, investment, technology, downstreaming and industrial development. The strengthened relationship was also marked by the signing of the Indonesia–Eurasian Economic Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (I-EAEU CEPA), which opens wider market access for Indonesian products to the Eurasian region and strengthens trade, industrial and investment cooperation.

This momentum also produced concrete cooperation, including the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) between PT PAL Indonesia and Rosatom on floating nuclear power plant cooperation, and exploratory cooperation between Pupuk Indonesia and Uralchem. Ranked 13th in the world by Manufacturing Value Added (MVA) and the largest manufacturing country in Southeast Asia, Indonesia's presence at INNOPROM 2026 is a strategic opportunity to expand industrial partnerships, attract investment and strengthen Indonesia's position as a key industrial partner in the Eurasian region.

The Director General of Resilience, Regional Development and International Industrial Access, Tri Supondy, said: “We are not coming to Yekaterinburg just to introduce ourselves. With the strong foundation of bilateral relations already established, Indonesia is targeting INNOPROM 2026 as the starting point for long-term cooperation between Indonesia and its Eurasian partners.”

INNOPROM is one of the world's most influential industrial exhibitions and forums, and a strategic platform for Indonesia to open new industrial investment opportunities, increase co-production and joint manufacturing collaboration, expand market access for Indonesian manufactured products to the Eurasian region, and strengthen Indonesia's position as a strategic industrial partner for Russia and EAEU member states. Indonesia follows in the footsteps of the United Arab Emirates (2024) and Saudi Arabia (2025), which were previously entrusted as Official Partner Country, affirming Indonesia's increasingly important role in the global industrial ecosystem.
